A story by Alaina J at Las Vegas, NV, USA on the 20th of July, 2015, at 10:00pm

I had never been to Vegas before. My really really good friend wanted to take me there for the first time. Also, I hadn’t been on a vacation in 15 years! We had a blast, and as you could guess we already liked each other.
After seeing the Cirque du Soleil show Ka we were walking back to our hotel and that’s when my now fiancée asked me to be his girlfriend!! It was so special and he was so sweet. When he saw how much I loved Ka, he bought us tickets to another Cirque show the next day!
I’ll never forget it and now we go back there often to relive memories. And I got to show him how special it was to me with our star map.

A story by Kelsey R at Harrogate, UK on the 16th of December, 2014, at 4:25pm

On that night, me and this boy would walk home from school. He had gotten detention and asked me if I waited for him and he would walk me home. I waited the extra hour after school. We would tell each other everything, stories of our childhood, our mental health, our highs and lows, who we trusted and who we didn’t, the stories of how our parents met and got married.

We would tell the stories of what scared us as a child, and what helped us overcome those fears. We would talk about our hopes and dreams, what we hoped to achieve in life.
We would walk along the road, perhaps glancing at some trees that had Christmas lights hanging from the branches to get the town into the Christmas spirit, and our hands would touch by chance. We wouldn’t let go.
We would continue to walk, smiling and in silence, as he walked me to my bus stop, giving me a hug goodbye. But not before asking me to be his girlfriend.

4 years later, the rest is history. We were 15 and we are now 19, still so very much in love. I am so glad I waited for him after his detention at school. For if I didn’t, who knows what would’ve happened and where we would be now.

A story by Olyvia El at Perth WA, Australia on the 19th of January, 2018, at 12:07am

I chose to make a star map so that we could remember our first date!

We were both in Australia working with a non-profit organisation called YWAM. I noticed him in the dining hall and I was instantly drawn to him. A week later we were partnered to wash and dry dishes together, and that’s when we officially met. I was so excited! We hung out every day for a week and on our first date, we found ourselves climbing up to a rooftop in the middle of the city in Perth. He had his guitar and he started singing me all sorts of songs he had written throughout the years. It was magical. At the end of his songs we both sat down whilst on the rooftop, he leaned in and kissed me. We then watched the stars above us. It was a night I will never forget. A few days later he had to leave YWAM and go home to Scotland.

After 4 months of FaceTime I moved to Scotland so that we could be together again :)

Tucson, AZ, USA on the 2nd of November, 2015, at 5:00pm

A story by Fabian L at Tucson, AZ, USA on the 2nd of November, 2015, at 5:00pm

That day was special to me and my wife because that’s the day I took a chance and proposed to her on our little mini-vacation that we won on the Ellen show to Mirival resort.

I planned everything perfect, and I was getting nervous, and I was excited, and I had 10000 emotions and feelings running through my body. I put on our favourite song that we danced to at her cousin's wedding and I got on one knee and told her how much she means to me and how much my world has changed for the best and how all I want to do is love her and be with her for the rest of my life.

And that’s when my life changed and I was finally happy that I have found the one and only and I thanked God that he sent me my angel. I haven’t stopped loving her since and keep falling in love with her every day that I look into her beautiful eyes.

When you’re in high school, you never really know if the sweetheart you are with at the age of 17 is “the one”. You dream about it, you hope, but you never truly know what life will bring.

On 8-5-11, under the stars in Chandler, AZ, I was lucky enough to tell my high school sweetheart that I would cherish him always and forever. We have now been together for 13 years and we have two beautiful babies to show the world our love ❤️

Richlands, VA 24641, USA on the 6th of November, 2010, at 11:00am

On November 6, 2010 around 11:00 am, I married the love of my life at the Henrico County courthouse in front of a minister of the peace on a small bridge overlooking a small pond. My wife almost missed the appointment the day before to get the marriage license because her flight was delayed. We had to get married quickly because I was about to get orders to Japan and the only way for her to come with me was to be married.
Eight years later, still going strong.

A story by Justin G at 1928 S Commons, Federal Way, WA 98003, USA on the 4th of July, 2014, at 8:00pm

This 4th of July was the night of my wife and I's first date.

We talked so long in the lobby, we actually missed the movie. We shared any and everything that night as the conversation went from nervous to open and vulnerable honesty. We call that conversation our 3 hour disclaimer. We were friends for 6 more months and then started officially dating. Engaged in a couple weeks and married the next April. I brought her back the anniversary of our first date and we were married for a couple months by then...we celebrate 4 years this 4-4-19

A story by Stephen G at Omaha, NE, USA on the 21st of October, 1978, at 7:30pm

On October 21st, 1979, I met my wife for the first time.

A classmate of mine from Dental School told me about this girl who taught at the same grade school with his wife. We were supposed to go on a double date, but he and his wife had to leave town suddenly. So he called me and let me know she was expecting a call from me.

Thus began the "first date from hell." Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Long story short, we finally found a movie to see that wasn't sold out, at a multiplex at a mall. We had over an hour to kill, however. My blind date had spent the afternoon at the same mall shopping for a birthday gift for her aunt. So she suggested we take a walk AROUND the outside of the mall. Since it was a beautiful Fall night, I said, "why not." That walk under the stars turned out to be magical. When I saw your post, I thought, "What a romantic Valentine's Day gift, a chart of the stars overhead during that first walk".

Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park is where me and my husband visited on our first vacation together while dating so we decided to get married here on July 9, 2015.
The line at the top of our Star Map, “You’re the sky that I fell through,” was the first line in our first dance song. I actually didn’t know that until I was making the map and listened to the song to get a meaningful line from the song...

A story by Ann C at Yadkinville, NC 27055, USA on the 30th of June, 2001, at 2:00pm

On June 30th 2001 at 2:00 pm, my husband and I exchanged our own vowels and said, "I do".

That's the day two beating hearts became one. The day my daughter had a Daddy in her life forever. So I guess you can say three beating hearts becoming one. June 30, 2001, was the beginning of a family, a real family.
