I went to Elements Music Festival last year on a whim - got my day ticket and drove up with a friend. It was the last day of the festival and I was meeting a few friends at the Rezz set right before I had to drive home. When I saw them, they were with another friend who they introduced me to for a split second, his name was Casey. I danced with Casey and my friends for two minutes probably, before I took off and bounced around dancing all over the rest of the set. Once it was over, I ran back to grab my bags and some friends I was driving home with.
I hopped onto the shuttle bus that would take us from the festival to my car. There was a guy sitting behind me that kept touching my hat (in his defence it was a soft fuzzy bear hat so I couldn't blame him for wanting to touch it). However, I was tired and not amused at the time so I turned around to give him an intense glare that would cue that I wanted him to stop touching me. I sat back around, and just a couple seconds later AGAIN! HE WAS TOUCHING MY HAT. This time I turned around and gave him a death stare for a solid 10 seconds. I could see he was wildly uncomfortable, so I turned back around and sunk into my seat.
When I got back to my car, I packed in with a few friends and we drove back to Brooklyn. We got home at 5am. The next morning I had to work at 8am. I woke up and was rummaging through my stuff. I picked up the fuzzy bear hat and saw a clothespin attached on the back. I was mortified! That poor kid on the bus was never touching my hat, it had been the clothespin hitting the back of the seat on the bus the entire time.
On the clothespin read, Happy Elements 2018! On the other side of the pin read, @CaseyFnLovesYou - which was Casey's Instagram handle (the guy my friends had introduced me to for a split second at the Rezz set).
I added him on Instagram and we started talking. He lived on Long Island and I lived in Brooklyn - so it was difficult to casually meet up. At one point he jokingly messaged me and said, "Look, I know you're dying to meet me and we don't exactly live close to one another." Then he said, "Why don't we watch a Netflix movie together. You can watch it from your house and I'll watch from mine and we can text through it." I thought that was absolutely adorable and I was excited about it. I hadn't been on a date in a long time and this was perfect. After we watched the movie, he asked if I wanted to meet him for a drink somewhere near me in Brooklyn and we did a few days later.
8 months later - and we're so in love. The universe has a funny way of bringing people together and I couldn't be happier.

It was the 9th of June and I took a day-trip from Bournemouth to London. Once I got there, I walked to Buckingham Palace as that is always the way I start. Once I got there, I noticed how busy it was - it was the queen's birthday.
I stayed until I was ready to go on with my journey through London. That's when I heard an American accent behind me getting closer. I turned around to see the most beautiful woman in a red summer dress walk up next to me to ask a police officer how to get to the same traffic lights I was looking to get to! I just stared in awe trying to tell myself to say something to her. I didn't have the nerve and she walked off, so I just walked in the same direction shortly after, feeling quite sad I didn't pluck up the courage.
All of a sudden she walked back in my direction and without hesitation I stopped her and asked if she had found the traffic lights, and I offered to take her. She told me she was Jennifer from Seattle, and that she was visiting Europe as some of her family lived in Norway and she was spending her birthday with them. I then told her a bit about myself and then we watched the queen and other royals come out of the palace, but I had to leave after because I needed to find a place to charge my phone.
As I said goodbye she asked if I didn't mind her hanging out with me for a while and of course I said I'd love to! We spent the day together sightseeing and talking about each other's countries. We then exchanged contact details and when we got home we video called every day and one day she surprised me with a visit for my birthday.
We soon became a couple and had a great week spending time in my home town and meeting my family. I then went to Seattle to visit her and meet her family and friends, and I asked her to marry me, she said yes!
Since we met we have video called every single day and we are soon closing the distance. Until then, sending each other letters and gifts like the Under Lucky Stars map, means everything to us and we continue to do that until we are living together. There were so many times where something nearly stopped us meeting but we both followed god's path and it brought us together.

It all began May 15th. I was laying under the stars wishing for a better life, wishing for something good to come. I told myself out loud that if it doesn’t get better and I don’t find a meaning to life, it was over.
I was kicked out of my house 5 days later due to no fault of my own, with just the clothes on my back, a backpack and my dog. I jumped from house to house, lived on the streets for a week. I had some friends here and they were my only family because everyone else that was my own blood had left and had no desire to talk to me.
July 15th rolled along and I had 5 letters written, I met this gorgeous girl that same day. She had a fairly big interest in me, as I had in her and that day she told me: “For me to trust you, because everyone else has hurt me so much, you’ll have to earn it”. I told myself, I was going to change this girl's life. She had a boyfriend at the time, and most of her sadness then was produced by him. We liked each other. Everyone around us knew we did, but ourselves.
She broke up with her boyfriend and 2 weeks later we started dating. I showed her what true adventures are, and how life can be even better if you choose the right people. I am alive because of her, I have been through the ugliest thing I could ever imagine and I got the best thing out of it - My girlfriend.
I live with her now, and I am going to college which I thought would never happen. I don’t flinch as often when people walk up to me, I am more sociable than I was months ago, my appetite is back, and I can finally sleep. And it’s all because she healed me, she took me by the hand from under the ground and pushed me up to the sky. She is everything I have, and everything I need. Her family has taken me in and have been there for me since the beginning.
And May 15th as I stared into the night sky, I told myself I wouldn’t be walking on this earth without a purpose. And she is My Purpose.

We had met at a friend's wedding, and instantly hit it off. We became friends despite his interest in me, but I wasn't looking for a love story, so we tiptoed around each other for more than 2 years.
Then, almost suddenly, I realized I was looking at him differently. He sensed as much, but let me set the pace of this change in our relationship. On the 5th, I was at my best friend's party, and invited him. We gravitated towards each other for the whole time, and as the party wrapped up we got to his car and stayed there talking for hours under the stars. It was at that time, after inching closer and closer, that I was hit by the weight if the possible change: 2+ years of friendship, both part of the same group of friends, what if it doesn't work out? What if I'm not ready yet? What if I/he/both screw up?
At 5:30am of the 6th of December, I took a leap of faith and kissed him. That changed everything.
Now, after more than 3 years, we live together. We are still going strong and more in love with each other each day! We both remember that night as our beginning, and remember the stars we were looking at out of the windshield. Those certainly were our lucky stars, and I wanted them hung in our bedroom, to look upon us for years to come! Best anniversary gift ever!

It was Christmas day and wanted to do something different and went for a drive to Dunnottar Castle!
It was unbelievably cold so was there for about 20/25 min tops! We were just about to leave as was with my girlfriend and her mum n dad when asked her dad for his daughters hand in marriage and was quite funny as her mum said yes!!! I got down on one knee to propose and you could here all the camera's clicking as all the tourists stopped to see what was happening!
Luckily for me she said yes and we will be celebrating our 10 year married this year with 2 amazing boys added to the family too!

I got this map for my older sister, she’s always had a fascination with the stars and what they mean.
I got her a map to the stars on January 17th 2019 at 11:27 a.m, the moment she gave birth to her first child Ezra. I couldn’t be there when she opened the package but I had her boyfriend record it for me and seeing the smile on her face was so beautiful. The poster now hangs above Ezra’s crib to always remind them of the moment their lives changed for the best.

It was my first date with my partner. We went kayaking, I was sat the front, and he was sat behind me. We had stopped for a few minutes, he called my name, I turned around and said “is this our first date?” I cracked a smile and said “yeah I guess”.
We have now been together for a year and happily live together.

On August 10th, 2018 at 9:30 pm, me and my boyfriend said, "I love you" to each other for the first time.
Now our relationship isn't just an average one. I am from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and he is from Queens, New York. My family and I went up to NYC for a little family vacation for a weekend and while I was there, I went on Tinder. I didn't really expect to find anything, I guess I was just looking for different people that I would have never seen in my small town in Pa. While I was there, I matched with 32 people and he was one of them.
We started talking that night and well, we never stopped. We have now been in a long distance relationship for almost 9 months and we plan out our schedule to see each other once a month since we are both busy college students. It is the most difficult thing I have done, love in a long distance relationship where we are restricted to FaceTime calls, text messages, and SnapChat.
However, it is the best thing I have ever done, and we have never been happier loving one another. We would do anything for the other and we talk about our future together all the time. We are the odd couple out, but we are a success story. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes one, and the purest thing I have ever held. He is my everything. He is the keeper of my heart. He's the love that makes my heartbeat. He is whom I love unconditionally. He is the love of my life.

I fell In love with my best friend.
He was born in Zimbabwe but grew up in South Africa then came to London as an adult.
He lived life in London for many years and had three beautiful daughters and then met me out of no where. We blew each other away instantaneously from the moment we met.
When It was his 50th birthday, December last year, I wanted to get him something super special. Just incase we ever fell out, he would always have something to remember me by. Plus he knew how much I was into the stars.
I got him a star map of the stars that were out at the time he was born over Zimbabwe.
He absolutely loved it, brought tears to his eyes.
I know that when when he thinks of the stars he most certainly somewhere thinks of me too.

One of the things that brought us together in the beginning and one of our first dates was to get out dogs together to play, ever since then our dogs (5 at this point) have defined who we are as a couple and have brought us together time and and time again.
My girlfriend and I had only been seeing each other for a few weeks at the time in early May 2014. It was Mother's Day, I surprised her at her apartment with flowers, a toy for our dog Diesel, and a card from him thanking her for being a great dog mama.
We proceeded to dance in the rain under stars as I played "standing in the rain" by Al green on my phone...which to this day is "our" song.
That night was the beginning of us falling for each other.
