I do believe that the stars somehow influence our destinies. I met a boy when I was 8 years old on a camping trip with a family friend. He was there camping with family friends. There weren't enough tents so we slept in the back of a pick up truck. My first crush which i never forgot.
Well 17 years later I went on my 2nd camping trip with the love of my life and I was telling him about my first camping trip when we realized that it was the same trip..he was the one! When we went to the court house to get our marriage certificate low and behold the lady that signed the certificate was his aunt Verna - the aunt that took him on that camping trip 17 years ago.
He was was my destiny....He was born March 3, 1969 at 6:22 am when the stars aligned March 3, 1969 they aligned for me. ❤

On March 11th 2018 at 5:55 am I kissed the love of my life for the first time.
We both went to the same Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy in Colorado , he was my also my kickboxing coach. About a year into being at the academy I started to think I might feel attracted to him. And as time went on I started catching feelings for him. We both flirted back and forth for 6 months without either of us knowing if the other was truly flirting back. In March we both traveled to California to compete at the Pan American Championship. The group from the gym that came out all shared an Air BnB together. The whole trip I got more and more confident that he liked me back. On the last night we had stayed up all night sitting at a table drinking limeritas. Eventually at 4 in the morning everyone else gave up and went to bed. The next couple of hours was just him and me hanging out and flirting our butts off.
5:55 came around and two of the teammates I was riding to the airport with were up and ready to get in the Uber. His flight was at a later time so it was time for us to say good bye. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me in close and sent me off with our first kiss.
I ordered our star map for our one year anniversary. We now live together and it sits in our living room to remind us of that special moment that started our forever.

It was a May night and my actual fiancée and me were looking at the stars.
Surrounding us there was just grass and good music, we were thinking at the future enjoying our magnificent present. Suddenly one of the best song in my playlist started and, at that moment, we kissed for the first time.
Best memory of my life.

On the 5th of September, 2015 in Stockton, CA at 9:00pm is when my significant other and I sat and talked about our feelings for each other under the stars at Windmill Cove.
We talked for hours, opening up to each other about how long we’ve both liked each other but kept it a secret because we were afraid the other wouldn’t feel the same.
We’ve been together ever since!!
We’ve had lots of trials in our 3 years, 9 months, and 3 days but it’s nothing we couldn’t get through together.

Our story began about 25 years ago when were just kids in elementary school...
One day during school he gave me a red rose to express that he liked me. Later that day , he came to my grandmas house and asked my cousin to see if I could come out.
So being a little girl not knowing what to do when a boy said he liked me, I came out and handed him a Ziploc baggie with the rose petals that were picked off. That was the day I unknowingly, broke his heart.
Throughout our school years, we had several encounters but nothing more. About 7 years ago, he tried to reach out to me, I was excited to hear from him but I was already dating someone and never pursued anything further. Fast forward to October 12th...
It was a stormy, rainy night and I had plans with my girlfriends to go to an event that was rain or shine and NEVER cancels. Well, that night it did because of lightening and I am so thankful because that was the night my life began.
My girlfriends and I decided to go to a bar in the same town as the event. After a while and having good time, I happened to look up at the corner of the bar and saw an attractive man there with an LA baseball hat on, so I couldn't really see his face.
A few moments later, I hear "Lauren ?" being called out from that corner. I looked up and immediately said "Hector!" with the biggest smile on my face. It turns out that attractive man in the corner was the boy whose heart I hurt when we were kids.
After talking for while, it turned out he and his friends were also supposed to be somewhere else and that that bar was a last minute thing for them as well. I am so grateful for that storm the night of October 12th because that was the night the stars finally aligned for Hector and I. He never gave up on me and I will forever be thankful.
The love we share goes much further than the stars themselves. It was always Meant to Be.

On the 17th of May, 2018 I met a guy for coffee...
We sat on a park bench and talked for hours. Exactly a month later he asked me to be his girlfriend. We will be celebrating our one year anniversary in less than two weeks.

On July 25, 1998 at 8:30 pm two kids just hitting their 20’s promised their lives, for better or for worse, to one another.
They chose to take on the world together and yes, there have been more curves and bumps in the road than they could have prepared for, regardless, they remain strong and devoted to each other even 21 years later...a little less naive and a little more weathered, but stronger and more in love as each day passes.
Those two kids never could have imagined the blessings this world would provide. They are forever promised as one another’s lover; confidants; soulmates; and most of all, best friends.

My boss got married on April 27, 2019 in Antipolo, Rizal.
I had some difficulty thinking of a wedding gift for her. She already had everything she could have wished for. Still, I wanted her to have something from me. She wasn't just any boss: she was my mentor; she was the reason I am good at my job. I guess one can say that I owe a lot of my professional success to her. She deserved every bit of happiness coming her way.
And so while browsing around for the perfect wedding gift, I came upon a Facebook ad for Under Lucky Stars. I thought it was a nice and touching gift for her and her husband-to-be.
When I got the chart, I could not help but admire its quality and the beauty of the heavenly bodies that would be gracing my boss and her husband while they say their vows. Upon a closer look, I saw what seems to be two stick human figures holding hands. I smiled and thought to myself that this really was the perfect gift for her.
I gave the chart to her during the bridal shower. I don't know where it now hangs in her home, or if it does, but what I do know is that Under Lucky Stars gave me a way to show my boss how important she is to me and how the stars looked on the day she said "I do".

Engagement story.
So Jason pulled up to the house about 6:15, Friday night of the 19th and my door was open so I could see when he arrived. I was in the kitchen starting dinner. I saw him quickly dart away from the door, then he came back and walked in to greet me.
Then he said he was going to go get his stuff out of the car as we were spending the weekend together. So I hear him talking outside and I thought he was talking to my neighbour. Then I hear, “Babe come help me real quick”.
So as strange as that seemed, I walk outside and there he is on his knee on the concrete shaking and his ring hand shaking. He said "baby will you marry me?".
My first words were, “are you sure?” Then I said it again like 4 or 5 times...he said "is that a yes?" and I said "yes".
I then got him up, hugged him, then he put the ring on my finger. It was perfect.
We came inside and I had no idea what to do. Then he said it was Greyson's birthday (his son he no longer has contact with) and I started to cry and I thanked him for proposing on his birthday.
He hugged me and told me I was a “good girl” and he wants to do forever with me...

On this date, I went out of my comfort zone and went on a blind date.
We decided to meet up in a dog-walking park, to make sure our dogs got along. Jennifer brought her shitzu and I my chihuahua, they got along just fine. As we walked the park we talked and I felt like she was my best friend already. With father's day coming up on that weekend we decided to wait till the following weekend to go out again. Although that whole week, we spent night and day on the phone talking about everything.
When the weekend finally arrived, I couldn't wait to bring Jenn around to all my family, something just felt right about her. Well let's just say the days became night and the nights became days and I knew she was the one for me.
3 months into our relationship I asked Jennifer to marry me. Without hesitation she said "yes" and giggled and said "what took you so long?!".
Now we are 13 years fast-forwarding and we have 2 beautiful boys and are loving life. People always joke and say the stars were aligned the day we met, well they were. Then to find you guys, it was a no brainer. We needed to show everyone that comes to our house what happens when you are Under Lucky Stars.
