I gave my brother and his now-wife a star chart as a wedding gift.
My brother mentioned that his significant other loves sentimental gifts and, as best man, I felt like I couldn’t just get something off the registry. I think I saw a star chart on Twitter, a tweet saying a woman’s girlfriend gave it to her as an anniversary present and I knew a little about the constellations from my time when I worked at a museum, helping run the small planetarium.
When I gave the newly weds their star chart, she started tearing up. So based solely on that, I think this was the perfect gift and I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for something a little extra when it comes to a gift.

The creation of my star map was in regards to meeting a special someone who came into my life and has became my best friend...
At the time in question, I went to a random bonfire with some work friends, not anticipating meeting anyone - as I was still getting over a long-time boyfriend - but there he was. We bonded over having similar circumstances and unfortunate happenings that we didn't deserve. There's not a day since I met him that I haven't spoken to him, so on the year mark, I decided to gift him this poster.
It's a keepsake that, no matter where our lives lead us, we will always be a part of the same universe. The purchase is one I couldn't be any happier with and the quality is breath-taking.
Thank you "Under the Lucky Stars" for giving me the perfect gift to exchange, to mark the occasion of finding my star in the Galaxy, that is so often a rarity in this day and age.

This was the moment my boyfriend and I confessed to each other that we liked each other...
1 am seems so late but so much happened before this moment. We started off as best friends but I quickly fell in love with him - but a few hours before we confessed, we went to go wash his car and it was the best bonding moment I've had with him. We were just acting silly and didn't give a care in the world. Then we went to Bahama Bucks and watched the sunset. After that we drove around and once we got to the parking lot to my dorm, we sat there and talked for hours.
We were playing with each other's hands and we would talk about the deepest things in our life and things we would never talk about. I felt so comfortable and so in love at that moment, I was hoping he would finally make the first move! Luckily he did! Before I left, he told me he needed to tell me something and if he doesn't say it now he'll never say it. He had tears in his eyes bc of his past heartbreak that he was so scared that I didn't feel the same way back towards him. But when I saw his face I couldn't help but give him the love that he deserved. So after, he told me he really likes me and just loves to be around me. I also took the courage to tell him that I really liked him too and that I felt so comfortable and worry free around him.
We've been dating for over a year now and this is my special moment and reason why I made a star chart of this amazing night.

I clearly remember the night of October 13th. Our story isn’t a romantic one but it means a lot to both of us...
We started talking on Tinder, 2 months later I agreed to meet him. I still remember waiting for him that night. He was running late. When he finally arrived, sparks didn’t fly, I just felt like I knew him for a very long time. I felt calm. I felt safe. I felt a sense of peacefulness when I saw him.
If I hadn’t agreed to meet him on the night of 13th October 2017, I wouldn’t have met my husband-to-be and that’s why that night means so much to me.
Thank you for the lovely star map! I stare at it every single day to relive the memory of that lucky night ;)

This was the day my future became beautiful...
The love of my life was born at exactly that moment. Although it sounds tacky, it really is true. We met when we were just 15 years old and instantly I was smitten. She wasn’t quite so interested in me. I pursued her for well over a year before she even agreed to date me, but I just couldn’t be discouraged.
I knew from the very first moment that I wanted to share every possible minute with this girl. As kids usually do, we both made mistakes and found ourselves separated without any real hope of reconciliation. Some people discredited what we had as infatuation or a high school relationship. I always knew it was more than that. I fought my way back to her and today she is once again at my side.
Perhaps the best thing about her is her ability to never lose sight of the stars. She has a passion for the beauty around her, yet sometimes seems oblivious to the beauty that radiates from her. I chose to give her a picture of the stars at the exact moment of her birth because I wanted her to see how beautiful the stars were the very second she was brought into this world. I told her that that was the moment my future became beautiful. I think she took it as a compliment to her physical beauty which, of course, it was.
Honestly, my future is beautiful simply because I know she’s in it, because every moment under my lucky stars from today til the end will be with her. I can think of nothing more beautiful than that.

November 21st was the night of our first date...
We walked all over the park outside town, went and got ice cream, and then sat outside her house and looked at the stars that are on the map that I gave her.
I got it for her so she could take it to college and keep a little piece of home with her.

Valentines day!
Future hubby planned a visit to Empire state building for a surprise proposal! I had absolutely no idea!
We were visiting New York with my two sons from a previous relationship. I Wondered why he was so adamant that we wait in such a huge queue, which is something he normally hates to do. Once we got up there down he went on one knee. I nearly fell over with shock! The funny thing was I think everybody up there was doing the same thing.
It was such a lovely moment though. I've been back a few times since and stood in the exact spot!

I have made 2 phone cases. One was the starry sky taken at 8pm on 1 June 1981 in Hong Kong while the other one was taken at 2 pm on 14 June 1984 in China.
These are the skies of our hometowns, the places where we were born respectively. Although we were born in different places on different dates, we are under the same sky and we are both Gemini.
It is fate and destiny that we get to know each other. These two dates are important to us as only when we come to the Earth on these dates, we could then meet each other. The phone cases are engraved a sentence respectively ‘Do what you love’ and ‘ Love what you do’. These are the mottos ever since we have been together.

On April 4th, 1991 @ 5:17am, my only child was born.
He's 28 yrs old now. He's a wonderful young man who has been through a lot.
He was diagnosed with kidney disease at age 13 and on May 15, 2018 he had a kidney transplant. His wife was the donor !!! Through it all. He never stopped working though we all knew there were times he wasn't able to.
He really likes astronomy, so, when I saw the advertisement for Star Maps on t.v., I knew I had to get him one. Even with all his challenges, I feel he was born under some lucky stars....
