In the middle of November 2018, it was my girlfriend's 21st birthday, so we decided to go to New York.

Neither of us had ever been before so we were really excited! Towards the end of the holiday I told her that I would love to go and visit Belvedere Caslte in Central Park, I had seen pictures of it in the dark and it looked amazing with all the lights on.
When we finally found Belvedere Castle, we discovered that it was undergoing maintenance and was closed to the public and all the lights were turned off, I was gutted. So as we were leaving Central Park I realised we were near the MET Museum and remembered that she enjoyed watching the show "Gossip Girl". I knew that they shot a few of the scenes on the steps of the MET so I said to her that we should walk that way and see if we can get a picture in front of the museum.
As luck would have it a gentleman was walking by and I asked if he would take our picture and he agreed but as I handed my phone over to him I told him that I was going to propose to my girlfriend and ge was more than happy to take our picture.

As we stood in front of the MET I slowly took a step back from my girlfriend and got down on one knee and said her name, as she turned around her face lit up as I asked those 4 words. And I am happy to say that she said yes!!
