Nancy, France on the 21st of December, 2018, at 8:10pm

Abdulrazzak and I have known each other since 2010 in school. Although we were never been close friends we were always nice to each other and we had so many common friends.

In 2011, the Syrian revolution started and by 2013 the Syrian regime started to bombard our city brutally. Everyone I knew was imprisoned, killed, or had left the city.

During 2013 we were talking a little bit just to be sure that we were still alive.

In 2014, my family as well as his family decided to leave Syria and settle down in Turkey because no one could support to live in a city ruled by ISIS. I met him once or twice in Turkey but we weren't even best friends at that point.

In 2015 he decided to move to Germany in order to study and start a new life there, that's when we started chating and know each other more.

One year later my family moved to France but I was so busy learning the new language so we stopped talking for two years.

Finally, last year in 2018 he started to call me and we spent hours and hours talking, laughing and thinking about our homes in Syria. Later in September, he told me that he loved me and he had been waiting for months to tell me but we couldn't meet until Christmas vacation. So it was at Nancy, France on the 21st of December, 2018, at 8:10pm where he came to see me for the first time after a long journey of 7 hours from Germany to France. I offerd him this beautiful star chart for his birthday and he really liked it .
