This is one of our favorites stories.

The 11th of February was the day my partner enlisted in the Navy and the day we started a long distance relationship while he served time, in order to prepare for our future.

It was a brand new, challenging chapter we were doing together. The initial training process was a strain on both of us; extremely limited contact and unable to see each other for almost two months.

I purchased the star map as a present for his graduation with the inscription meaning "a new beginning". The 11th was the day he started a new beginning and becoming the man he wanted to be for so long, while not forgetting where he came from and where I was.
