On this day, my husband and I purchased our first home.

As a military family, we were always afraid to buy a home knowing we would not live there long enough to enjoy it and didn’t want to deal with the hassle of selling or renting. We have always rented or lived in Military housing. We have had dreams of owning a home for many years and had a lengthy Pinterest board full of decorating ideas for the day we would finally be able to buy a home and do what we wanted with it. I purchased the star map from Under Lucky Stars to hang in our very first real home where we plan to stay for quite some time now that our military service is coming to an end after 25 years of service.
