On May 19th, 2016 I was at a gas station with one of my friends getting gas and just so happens to run into this guy I knew looked familiar.

I didn’t think twice about who it was because I’m from a very small town and everyone knows everybody. After I was walking back to my car we made eye contact and he messaged me on Facebook after he left. As soon as his name popped up I knew exactly who it was. We both went to school with each other but never paid attention because he’s five years older than me. But that very moment something just clicked and I knew from the very first start of just looking into his eyes he was the one for me. The one to spend the rest of my life with.

Before all of this had happened I was in a really bad car accident back in 2015 and the doctors thought I wasn’t going to make it through the night because of how much trauma I had. It took me over 8 months to finally walk again and after that, it took me over a whole year to completely heal from everything that had happened to me. It was like a dream come true to be given a second chance at life and God bringing someone into my life I never thought could be so special to me when I was at my lowest point.
Cody brought me back to life and taught me how to love myself again. He is absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be any more thankful than I am today, to be able to spend every second with the person God sent to me. Prayers really do work and God is wonderful. He definitely works in mysterious ways.
When people say true love comes when you’re at your lowest is the truest thing I ever heard. I didn’t think it was true until it happened to me. He’s my best friend, my whole world. Ever since that day we’ve been going stronger than ever.

There’s not a day that goes by where I take life for granted. I could’ve easily lost my life but instead, God knew I needed a second chance at life and brought the love of my life into my path.
